Call for proposals: "Root Cause: Comparative Studies in Literature and Translation" (updated deadline for proposals to 01/10/2024)
The Lithuanian Comparative Literature Association (LCLA)
The Lithuanian Comparative Literature Association develops a modern concept of comparative literature by focusing on interdisciplinary and intertextual taxonomy and networking. Its members work to understand the requirements of their national literature and to clarify Lithuanian literature's place and role in the European cultural milieu.
About us
The Lithuanian Comparative Literature Association, founded on January 13, 2005, brings together literary specialists, scholars, and researchers in Lithuania and other countries, who work in the field of comparative literary studies. The Association is a member of the international European Society of Comparative Literature.
The association, whose board members met at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences until 2019, has moved to a new location: the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore, whose strategic directions include comparative literature as a primary concern.
